For the past 11 years, Aaron and I have worked opposite shifts for one reason or another. After having kids, this became even more important because we did not want to put the girls in day care and we also planned to home school. Aaron mainly worked nights and weekends and I worked during the day. For the past few years, Aaron has been doing most of the home school and he also had taken on a lot of the daily household duties. I'm forever grateful for his hard work and dedication to our family.
I'm so, so excited to announce that Aaron has accepted a job that will allow me to stay home with the girls full time. This is such a bittersweet occasion! We have been working towards this moment for the past 11 years, but it also means that I will be leaving the university I have worked at for the past 3 years. I am terribly sad to leave all the wonderful faculty, staff, and students that have pretty much become a part of my family over the years.
To be honest, my heart has always been at home. I'm thrilled to take on the bulk of the home schooling and to be able to do things with them during the day. It will be a change for sure, but I know God knows what is best for our family and we will faithfully follow His guidance. Please pray for us during this transition and as one chapter of our life closes and another opens up.
